We are pleased to offer this one of a kind halltree by Mitchell and Rammelsberg, Cincinnati Ohio. Adding to the rarity of this piece is the fact that it is signed and original. Signature is  in the drawer and pictured in the photos to the left.  The stamped signature of Mitchell and Rammelsberg fourth street dates this from 1857 to 1881. this wonderful elk rack is the largest we have seen by far. Truly a trophy rack. It must have been a commissioned piece to show off these magnificent antlers. The elk is carved in realistic detail showing the fur. The finish is original. This elk is carved in oak. There are carved acorns on the end of each antler point. the original cast drip pans are with the halltree. 8 feet 8 inches tall and 42 inches wide. It is ready to grace any fine lodge.
